To end their week, our GSRP classrooms invited families in to decorate gingerbread houses with their student. It was a wonderful way to finish up our last week before Christmas Break!
This week, the KES student council members spread some Christmas cheer by singing Christmas carols in each classroom. They are also pictured here with a check for Mission 22 in the amount of $152 that they raised for veterans in the month of November. KES is very proud of their student leaders and the example they set for others in our school. Great work, Student Council friends!
At Kingston Elementary we try to ensure each student has adequate winter gear so they can fully participate in super fun activities like sledding down the hill at recess. Thank you to Kingston Fire Department, Buck Pole Sponsors, and Kingston Athletics for your donations.

The Kingston Fire Department will have their Christmas light truck parade this Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 7pm. Please come out and support our fire fighters!
UPDATE: The JV / Varsity Boys Basketball game at Auburn Hills Oakland Christian will go on as scheduled. The bus will leave at 4:00 PM. JV game at 6:00 PM. Please be cautious on the back roads. A decision on the game tonight will made by early afternoon. Conditions are improving. Main roads will be fine, it is the side roads that will need to safe for all players, cheerleaders and coaches to make it to the bus safely. I will keep everyone updated as soon as a decision is made.
Kingston Community Schools and the Cardinal Center daycare will be closed Tuesday, December 19, 2023 due to icy roads.

The Class of 2028 will be selling KCS Christmas ornaments for $10 at the 1pm and 6pm elementary Christmas program performances. We know it will be a great show!

This week, Mrs. Lester was delivered a “truckload of books” that she won in a contest with Michigan Construction. Her students also received goodie bags with construction hats, coloring books, and other fun construction themed items. A special thank you to all the contest sponsors and to Derek Carr from Angelo-Iafrate for delivering the books and spending some time in Mrs. Lester’s classroom!
