The KES library has a brand new rotating tabletop book stand thanks to the efforts of many people. Thanks to the awesome grant writing of School Board Secretary, Alisha Proctor, in addition to funds from the Tuscola County Community Foundation, elementary students can easily locate new paperback books and graphic novels. Students love being able to rotate the stand while they search for their next great book adventure. Thank you, Alisha and TCCF for helping us add this beautiful piece to our elementary library!

KES rewarded its students for their great behavior in the 3rd marking period with a bowling trip! Our students had a blast! Thank you to all our staff who made this trip possible, and to Brentwood for hosting us!

KES Enrollment night is coming soon! Please save the date and plan to attend if you have a daycare, preschool (GSRP), or kindergarten aged student that you would like to add to our flock next year! You can fill out the enrollment info that night, or stop by the KES office for an enrollment folder any school day leading up to the event.

To continue our magic-themed March is Reading Month festivities, KES welcomed the incredible Cameron Zvara, comedy magician and entertainer. Cameron WOWED both staff and students on Thursday, March 13th in two afternoon performances at KES. The fun and laughs were contagious as Cameron performed tricks, cracked jokes, and shared how he learned his first tricks as a young boy reading magic books. Students from GSRP-6th grade and staff alike left with smiles from ear to ear and many memories!

On Friday, March 14th, KES staff participated in a Medical Emergency Response Drill to better prepare in the event of an emergency. Thank you to HRA Kelsey Hayward for presenting and coordinating the drill along with Marlette EMS.

On Friday, March 14th, from 8:00am - 10:00am, during our PD Day, KES will be conducting a Medical Emergency Response Drill to better prepare staff in the event an emergency arises. Marlette EMS will be responding to this drill to make it as realistic as possible. This is only a drill, so do not be alarmed when you see or hear an ambulance at the school during that time period.

Just a friendly reminder!
