The ever popular Balloons Over Broadway STEAM project was a hit this morning at KES! Students preschool-6th grade worked in pairs to design and create a customized balloon for our school wide Thanksgiving Parade. Each teacher received a copy of the story "Balloons Over Broadway" to read aloud to their students prior to the event while also enjoying a themed snack. Then, older students visited classrooms, paired with a younger buddy and brainstormed ideas and designs before crafting their masterpieces. Finally, the younger buddies paraded through the hallways while their older buddies lined the route, cheering them on. The smiles were contagious! Special thanks to our literacy subcommittee for planning and organizing the event!

Celebrating Kingston Cardinals at the MASSP Women's Summit! This past weekend, Mrs. Holloway, (English/Government/Leadership teacher) and Miss Martin (Elementary Student Teacher) took four Kingston High School students from each grade to the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) Women’s Summit in Grand Rapids. Held at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, this event brought together leaders from across the state to inspire, connect, and empower future change-makers. The summit provided opportunities for students and educators to engage with thought-provoking keynote speakers, participate in dynamic breakout sessions, and explore the unique challenges and opportunities for women in leadership roles. Our students represented Kingston proudly, gaining insights into leadership, teamwork, and the importance of resilience and inclusivity. Go Cardinals!
